Angelina G. Chavez Obituary
Chavez, Angelina G.

Angelina G. Chavez, (Angie), was born January 8, 1939 in Los Angeles, California. She met our Lord on May 5, 2013 in Anaheim, California, after a long struggle with Alzheimer's. Angie was preceded in death by her parents, Francisco Diaz Gonzales, and Lydia Terrien Gonzales, and her daughter Denise Chavez Turner. She is survived by her Daughter Catherine Hensley, Son Dennis Chavez (Alison), Grandchildren Nickolas R. Pond, Nicole Hensley, Jackie
Wilson, and Chris Turner (Ashley), three Great Grandchildren, her twin sister Magdelina G. Villarreal (Robert), and her beloved Cousins, Aunts and Uncles, Nieces and Nephews, on both sides of the family. Angie grew up in East Los Angeles, and attended Stevenson Jr. High, and Garfield High School. She was married to Nick J. Chavez, prior to becoming a LVN and Surgical LVN, a career which she truly loved and was proud of. Angie loved to travel, and with her family and parents, vacationed in Hawaii, Mexico, Lake Powell, Canada and many other cities. She fondly remembered the family's roots in Ray and Superior, Arizona, and Pinos Altos, New Mexico. Angie truly was unique, and will never be forgotten by her family and friends. Her wit and good humor will be in our hearts forever.
A special thank you to the employees of Leisure Court Nursing Center, who provided her care in her last years. Funeral services have been entrusted to Rose Hills Memorial Park. Services will be held at Rose Hills Hillside Chapel, May 24, 2013, at 11:00 a.m.
