Arnulfo "Shorty" Ramirez
Of Victorville, CA, passed away on October 3, 2013 with his beloved family by his side.
He was originally born in Iruapato, Mexico and came to the United States at the age of 13 years old, and resided majority of his life in San Bernardino. He was preceded in death by his parents Primitivo and Agustina Ramirez, brother Salvador Ramirez and son Mario Ramirez.
Shorty is survived by his loving companion Adeline Macias, daughter Annette Ramirez of Victorville and Esther Cash of Redlands, stepsons Steven Macias and Alex Saiz, sister Juanita Ramirez (Mexico), Antonio Ramirez (San Bernardino), Fernando Ramirez and Martin Ramirez (both of Mexico). He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and grandchildren who will miss him dearly. He will be missed by his precious dogs Gotti, Sophia and Zoe.
Shorty worked as a mechanic and a farmhand for over 40 years and loved to cook. He loved blues music, especially Stevie Ray Vaughn, and even in his final days he was bopping his head to the sweet sounds of Stevie. Shorty played bass guitar and had amazing vocals he rarely used, but the day before he passed, he sang a beautiful Spanish ballad to the medical aides.
We would like to thank the amazing doctors, nurses and staff at UCI Medical Center in Orange, CA for the outstanding care he received in his final days. In the end he left this world with peace, love and dignity. He will be dearly missed by all.
A private memorial service will be held on October 19th, please contact family members for details.
