Carolyn Jeanne Heim
Passed away on January 22, 2013 due to complications of Alzheimer's disease. Carolyn was born on November 10, 1935 to Byron and Jeanette Rabineau Cunningham in Santa Monica, California. She spent her first twelve years in Venezuela where her father worked for Shell Oil. She graduated from Fullerton Union High School in 1952. After high school she attended the University of Redlands and graduated in 1956. Carolyn taught school in Hawthorne and Inglewood from 1956-1958. She also taught at Father Peter's Boy's Home in Redlands during the 1970s.
Carolyn married Robert Heim on June 10, 1955 in Redlands, California. They were happily married for 57 years. Carolyn was involved in the Assistance League, Bonne Meres, and many local charities. She enjoyed cooking, reading, tennis, and traveling. She and Robert moved to San Clemente, California in 1997.
Carolyn is survived by her loving husband, Robert , of San Clemente, her daughters, Kristen Heim of San Clemente, Julie Hutton of San Clemente, and Dana (John) Brown of San Rafael, California, her grandchildren, Shelby and Kacy Hutton and John and Kailey Brown, and her brother, James Cunningham, of Sierra Vista, Arizona.
A celebration of Carolyn's life will be at 3:00 p.m. on February 16, 2013 at the Redland's Country Club.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the , Orange County Chapter, at PO Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090.
