Jerry Henry Laloli

Jerry Laloli of Artesia, California passed away on October 4, 2013. He was born February 22, 1930 in King City, California to Primo and Jennie Laloli. The family moved to Artesia in the 1940's and were dairy farmers. Jerry graduated from Excelsior Union High School in 1947 and was an active member of the Excelsior Alumni Reunion Committee.
Jerry was a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving proudly from 1951-1953, a life time member of Hawaiian Gardens VFW Post 7243 and American Legion Post 359 in Norwalk. He started working as a Letter Carrier at the old Artesia Post Office on Pioneer Boulevard in 1955, retiring in 1985. He was a member of the National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) Union for over 50 years. Jerry was a classic car lover, attending numerous car shows in Southern California and awarded many trophies. Jerry enjoyed socializing with his family and many friends in Artesia and was a member of the Artesia Historical Society. He will always be remembered by his buddies who spent many hours at his home enjoying cold drinks and great stories. Contributing to many worthy charitable organization was one of Jerry's passions. Jerry was preceded in death by his father and mother. He is survived by many aunts, uncle and cousins such as James & Dora Luchessa, (Steve Luchessa, Joyce (Lex) Camany), Alfonso & Shirley Francioli (Carolyn, Emily (Joe Boomer) & Nancy), Rosina Martin (Sandy & Linda), Inez (Felix, Yvonne (Ruben) Francioli and Vivian (Bill) Cascio), Louise Savage (Cliff & Jeff (Penny) Savage, Annette Ghezzi Gingras (Bill), and many relatives in Switzerland.
