FRANK C. MARKO
April 4, 1919 - May 2, 2012

Frank Marko peacefully passed from this world on May 2nd, at the age of 93. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Mary; two sons, Joseph (Lee) and Michael; one daughter, Stephanie (Bart); four grandchildren, Marisa (Ricardo), Erin, Shawn and Brandy; and three great grandchildren, Jonathon, Justin and Laurynn.

He was born to Czechoslovakian immigrants in Chicago, Illinois. After high school graduation in 1937, he worked with his father and older brother at Chicago Extruded Metals. During the Second World War he joined the U.S. Navy and served in the Pacific Theatre on the destroyer USS Brown. After the war he remained in California. He settled in his Arleta home in 1950, and was a loved brother, devoted husband and father, good friend, hard worker, man of many talents, master of none. For 32 years he was a journeyman electrician for the Los Angeles County Mechanical Department. He enjoyed his well deserved retirement on "do-it- yourself" projects around the house, playing pinochle with his friends from church and enjoying barbeques with friends and family.

The memory of his unconditional love and all that he was to each and every one of us will surely ease the pain of his passing, and remind us of our good fortune to have known him. There will never be another like him.
