Brown,Gilbert Jackson

Jack- Beloved Apple Jack To all who knew this extra ordinary man, this describes him well:

"It is impossible to give without loving, but it is impossible to love without giving." R. Braunstein

On March 18, 2012, Gilbert Jackson Brown (Apple Jack to his family), went to be with the angels, surrounded in love by his family. He leaves us with his legacy: always thinking of others, always, giving, and always helping.

He served in the United States Army and was proud of his military service. Giving of himself to his country and always wishing he could do more. He was employed with Avon for over 35 years. Upon his retirement, he found the Foothill Swap Meet, where he spent much of his time and made many friends.

Jack is a beloved father, grand-father, brother-in-law, uncle & great uncle. He leaves behind many dear friends and neighbors. He will be truly missed.

Our family would like to extend our deepest appreciation to all who stopped by to visit, called to check on him and make him smile, and sent their best wishes. His struggle is over and he is at peace. His love and memories will remain forever in our hearts.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at 3:00 in the afternoon at Azusa Pacific University on the West Campus at the Place of Prayer, located east of the Felix Event Center at 701 E. Foothill Blvd., Azusa.
