66, passed away peacefully at his home in Upland on Sunday, March 24, 2013 after a long illness. Born in Omaha, Nebraska, he spent most of his life in San Bernardino, San Diego and Upland.
Richard is survived by Linda, his wife of 20 years, and their daughters Jenhee Newcomb and Kyna Newcomb Sanchez. Kyna and her husband Terence added to Richard's life with his first grandson, Alexander. His one sibling, Patricia Ogden, and her husband Tom, live in Highland.
Richard's professional career was with the San Bernardino County District Attorney's Office, serving as a prosecutor, supervisor and chief deputy for 34 years. He touched many lives in his professional capacity and many more as a great friend and neighbor.
A memorial service will be held at Stone Funeral Home in Upland on April 1, 2013 at 3:00 p.m.
