Obituary Condolences

RAY TERRELL Age 82, a resident of the Inland Empire for over 82 years, passed away on February 8, 2011. He was a World War Veteran who served in both the Army and Merchant Marines. After the war, Ray worked for the San Bernardino Police Department, retiring in 1966, as a Detective. He then went on to work for the San Bernardino Public Defenders office as an Investigator, before retiring in 1983. Ray was very active in the community. He volunteered with the Del Rosa little league, senior league, and pony league. He was a teacher's helper at Grant School in Colton for many years and took several trips to Mexico with the First Baptist Church of San Bernardino to help build houses for different families in need. He was a past officer of PORAC and was a past president of the Colton Kiwanis Club, obtaining many awards for his volunteer services. He is survived by his wife, Millie; sons, Bob (Joanne) and Keith (Debbie); his daughter, Cathy; as well as his twin brother, Roy (Martha). He had four grandchildren; as well as two great grandchildren. Graveside Services will be held on February 21st at 10:45 A.M. at the Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd., Riverside, staging area 4.
