Her medical practice consisted primarily of PH clinics for Contra Costa County and later a practice in bariatrics in Brownsville, Texas. She was widely traveled, including living for a time in Japan, Mexico and Spain. In addition to the practice of medicine, she had wide ranging interests including playwriting & acting, folk dancing, Japanese arts and culture, judo, and sculpture. Her special love was watercolor painting, which she continued until her death at age 90. Some of her donated art work is on display in LLU School of Medicine. She was known to all for her zest in living, her generous spirit, quick wit and bright luminous smile. She was pre-deceased by both of her husbands and is survived by her two children and their families, including two grand- children and two great-grandchildren; a foster-daughter, Beverly and family, a large extended family of cousins, nieces & nephews. Donations in her honor may be made to the Loma Linda University School of Medicine Centennial Tuition Endowment Fund.
