THELMA KLAUSNER
Surrounded by her family, Thelma June Klausner passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2013. She was pre-deceased by Bill, her husband of 70 years. She is survived by her son William Klausner Jr., of Hayward, her daughter Kathryn Cencirulo (Roy), of Redlands, and grandchildren, Jennifer Munoz (Matt) and Jason Cencirulo, four sisters: Rose Shufelberger of Redding, CA, Mary Jane Barger of San Marino, CA, Kate Scholz of Dublin, CA, and Laura Young of North Ridge, CA. Thelma was born in Liberal, Kansas on April 28, 1921. The family moved to Van Nuys, CA, in the 1930's. Thelma attended the University of Redlands, where she met her husband Bill, and graduated in 1943 with a bachelor's degree in sociology. After graduating she worked as a social worker for the county of San Bernardino. When her children were in college Thelma then began her teaching career with RUSD. Thelma started her teaching in special education and later became an English teacher at Redlands High School. She retired after 15 years in the district. Family and friends will miss the love she had for her husband and family, her sense of class, her humor, and her eternal desire to educate. At her request there will be no services.
