He passed away peacefully at home where he wanted to be. He was born in Guadalajara, Mexico, but was a resident of Pacoima for the past 52 years. He worked as a cement mason and was a union member of Local 893 for 32 years. He was a great provider, generous and a very giving person. He enjoyed fishing, swap meets, yard sales, dances and fiestas at Las Palmas Park. His favorite past time was enjoying a drink with friends and family, He will be truely missed by all.
He is survived by his wife, Maria; 2 borthers, Jose and Gilbert (Beto) Gonzalez; 2 daughters and 1 son, Rebecca Gonzalez, Ramon Gonzalez and Leticia Rosales; daughter-in-law, Grace Gonzalez; 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Benita Gonzalez and 2 sons, Reyes Jr. and Jose (Louie) Luis Gonzalez.
A Funeral service will be held at Utter McKinley San Fernando Mission Mortuary, 11071 Columbus Ave., Mission Hills, CA 91345 on Friday October 18th, viewing from 10:00am - 12:00pm with services at 12 noon. Burial will follow immediately at San Fernando Mission Cemetery. There will be a reception following the burial at his home. UTTER McKINLEY SAN FERNANDO MISSION MORTUARY
