Brenda Anne Durant Messier passed Sept. 5, 2013, at the age of 32. She was the wife of Gregory; mother of Logan; and stepmother of Kayle Messier. She leaves behind her grandfather, Kenneth Durant; parents, Richard and Judith Durant; her siblings, Brian, Kimberly, David and Kyle; her sister-in-law, Kristen; her niece and nephew, Jenna and Jonathan (Godson) of Abington; in-laws, Daniel and Margaret Messier; brother and sister-in-law, Ryan and Maria Messier and their children, Julianna and Annabella (Goddaughter); and the numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who all miss her so much. Raised in Abington, Mass., she was currently residing in Schenectady, N.Y. She was an employee of Home Depot in Avon, Mass., and Albany, N.Y., who have been awesome. Brenda was a loving individual who touched all who she came in contact with. Anytime you could hear music, Brenda would be there dancing having a blast. She was a loving mother and wife, a great daughter, a loyal friend, and a caring sister. Her greatest gift was her ability to connect with people as she was loved by those who were fortunate enough to have the chance to get to know her. Whether you needed a shoulder to cry on, a friend to laugh with, or someone to celebrate good news, Brenda was a genuine, sincere friend who would help you however needed. She would always go the extra mile for everyone and will be truly missed. A celebration of life service was held Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013, at the Abington Island Grove, bridge side off of Lake Street, from 9-1. Please send donations payable to Funds for Logan to the address listed below to benefit her 5 year old son. All donations are greatly appreciated.
