James Michael Stoffel Sr. of Lawrence, died Oct. 6, 2013. He was 70. Jim grew up in South Boston and lived in Abington for many years before moving to Lawrence. He attended both Franklin Pierce and Wentworth College. Jim worked as a draftsman in the engineering field for many years. He was skilled in gardening, woodworking and cooking. He also enjoyed reading. He will be sadly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He was the devoted father of James M. Stoffel Jr. of East Bridgewater, Barbara A. Stoffel of East Bridgewater, Cecilia M. Stoffel-Griffin of Easton and adopted son Johnathan Stoffel of Texas. Cherished Grampy of Natasha Leandra, Darion James, Sophia Margaret and Olivia Ann. Loving brother of Linda Belben of Ludlow, Norman Belben of Ludlow, Robert Belben of Billerica and Jim Stoffel of Franklin. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours were Wednesday, Oct. 9, 4-8 p.m. in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home, at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital), South Weymouth.
