Mary R. (MacIver) Cummings, 88 of Gibsonville, NC formerly of Rockland died on April 6, 2013 at the Alamance Regional Medical Center in Burlington, NC. She was born in Staten Island, NY and was raised and educated there. She moved to Weymouth at the age of 18. During World War II Mary was a welder fort General Dynamics at the Fore River Shipyard, later she was an assembler of submarine electronics at Raytheon in Quincy. At the time of her retirement she served as a nurses aide at the former DelManor Nursing Home in Rockland. Wife of the late Leo S. Cummings, she is survived by two sons, Raymond Cummings of Abington, Ronald Cummings of Hanover and a daughter Diane MacMillian of Gibsonville, NC, four grandchildren, Sherry Reid of Whitman, Derek Cummings of Hanover, Donald MacMillian, III of Gibsonville, NC and Michael Kippenhan of Rockland. Also surviving are 4 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services and burial will be private. Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home is honored to assist the family with arrangements.
