Obituary Condolences

Mrs. Alice P. (Casey) Heenan, 86 a lifelong resident of Rockland died Friday, September 10, 2010 at her nephew Peters home in Brockton. A daughter of the late Willard and Elizabeth (Carr) Casey, she was born in Rockland on September 23, 1923. She was a graduate of Rockland High School, Bridgewater State College and Burdette College. Mrs. Heenan served as a Chief Yeoman in the Waves during World War II. She was later employed by the U.S. Government as a Secretary to the Area Administrator of the Small Business Administration. She was a member of the MCWG, the Strawberry Valley Golf Club and the Strawberry Valley Bowling League Wife of the late Robert E. Heenan, she is survived by four nephews, Peter Casey of Brockton, Paul Casey of OR, John Casey of CT and Stephen Casey of PA, one niece, Mary Ellen Casey of CT and one sister in law, Alice M. Heenan of Chicago. Visitation was in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 45 East Water Street in ROCKLAND on Wednesday morning at 8 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass at 9 a.m. in St. Bridget Church, 455 Plymouth St. in Abington. Interment in Holy Family Cemetery in Rockland. Memorial donations in Alices memory may be made to St. Bridgets Church.
