Inez M. (Sherry) Hyland, 98, of Rockland, on March 10, 2013 at the South Shore Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, after a period of failing health. She was born in Medford and was raised and educated in Weymouth graduating from Weymouth High School in 1935. A former Nurses aide at the Norfolk County Hospital, Inez kept busy as a member of the First Baptist Church of Rockland and its Womens Circle. She was a member of the Pythian Sisters Temple #20, Sons of the Union Veterans Unit 50 Auxiliary, Rockland Golden Agers and the Rockland Grange. Wife of the late Charles W. Hyland she is survived by her son Walter F. Hyland and his wife Jackie of Abington, her granddaughter Rebecca J. Hyland of Abington and a brother John Sherry of AZ. Visiting was on Friday March 15, 2013 beginning at 11 a.m. in the First Baptist Church, 200 Union St., Rockland followed by a Funeral Service at Noon. Burial will be at a later date in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Rockland. Donations in her memory may be made to the First Baptist Church or Hospice of Mass., 605 Main St., Wareham, MA.
