William Ramos Obituary
William Ramos, of Middleborough, formerly of Arlington, MA passed away peacefully holding his wifes hand and surrounded by loving family members on Sunday, March 25, 2018. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Shirley (Walls) Ramos, his children, Catherine and late husband Michael Krawczyk, Carla and husband James ORourke, Mark and wife Barbara (Follett) Ramos, and Christopher Ramos. He is also survived by his brothers, Raymond and Eugene Ramos, and sister Alice. He will be missed by his grandchildren, Matthew, Meredith, Chelsea, Jenna, William, Millicent, Beatrice and Penelope, and one great grandson, Michael. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Born in Manhattan, William graduated from James Munroe High School and enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. He served for 7 years during the Korean conflict, and in 1955 began his career in civilian air traffic control for nearly 30 years. The Ramos family settled in Arlington where they raised their family. Visitation hours will be held at Prophett-Chapman, Cole and Gleason, 98 Bedford Street, Bridgewater, MA, on Thursday, March 29, 2018, from 4 | 7 pm, a ceremony and remembrance will be held from 7 | 8 pm. A graveside service will be held at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, on a date and time to be determined.
