Charles Genetti

Charles P. "Charlie" Genetti of Bedford passed away March 7, 2012 at age 87. He was the beloved husband of Esther "Sis" (Sullivan) Genetti for 66 years. Charlie was born in Bedford on Jan. 10, 1925 to the late Dominic and Philomena Genetti. He served his country during WWII in the U.S. Navy and was a long-time member of American Legion Post #221. Charlie worked for the town of Bedford as Superintendent of Roads for 35 years and was a member of St. Michael's Parish. In addition to his wife, he is survived by seven children: Frederick and his wife Deborah Ann Genetti, Elizabeth and her husband Keith Corey, Rosemary Genetti, Sandra and her husband Charles Duffy, Charles and his wife Edna Genetti, Michael and his wife Annemarie Genetti, and Patrick Genetti. He was the beloved grandfather of twelve and great-grandpa Charlie to eleven. He is also survived by sister-in-law Alberta Genetti and sister-in-law Joan and her husband Robert Yanosick. Charlie is pre-deceased by nine siblings: Adeline, Sarah, Walter "Mike," Louise, Nick, Frank, Fred, Dominic, and Mary. Family and friends gathered in Bedford's Shawsheen Funeral Home on Sunday, March 11, 2012; a Funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday, March 12, 2012 in St. Michael's Church, Bedford. Burial was in Shawsheen Cemetery, Bedford.
