Mr. Smith was an active member of the Belmont Dramatic Club for many years and served as a trustee of the First Unitarian Church in Belmont. He was also an avid world traveler and reader. In 1999, he moved from his beloved hometown of Belmont to Carlton-Willard Village in Bedford, where he lived until his death.
He leaves his lifelong friend Jian-Kuo “Jack” Shen of Belmont; his sister Janet Woodfall of Gainesville, FL and a niece Wendy Cutler of Ipswich, as well as, all their extended families. It was his wish to be an anatomical donor to Harvard Medical School.
