John Paul Catino Sr. of Nashua NH passed away on November 12, 2011 after a brief illness. He was surrounded by his family and friends. He was born in Woburn, Ma on April 6, 1933. The son of the late Anthony and Marie (Bonafiglio) Catino. He served in the Army during the Korean War. He was a retired heavy equipment operator for over 50 years, working for Dominic Defelice of Lexington over 25 years. He was past commander of the VFW and American Legion of Bedford, MA. Since retirement he enjoyed gardening, landscaping, and many other outside projects. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Rose (martin) Catino and his 4 children. John P. Catino Jr. and his wife Rose of Waltham, MA. Susan Catino of Nashua, NH. Sandi Catino of Milton, MA and the late Michael Catino of Bedford, MA. He enjoyed spending time with his twelve grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister- in |law Janet Hemenway and her husband George of Burlington, MA and many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2011 from 9-1, at the Shawsheen Funeral Home, 281Great Rd, Bedford Ma, 01730. A private grave site service will be held at a later date.
