Juchui Ray Lin, 65, of Bedford passed away on April 14, 2013. Born in Taiwan, he immigrated to the US for graduate studies and earned his PhD in Macromolecular Sciences from Case Western Reserve University. Ray most recently worked as a senior scientist for Siemens Water Technologies Corporation. He spent over 35 years researching, developing, and inventing polymer membranes for paint and coating, biomedical devices, and water technology. An innovative scientist, creative writer, talented artist, supportive husband, and dedicated father, Ray also volunteered with Bedford's Citizens' Scholarship Foundation (CSF), which raises and distributes community funds to award college scholarships to graduating Bedford High School seniors. Ray is survived by his wife, Jenny, and his daughters, Amy and Audrey. He is also survived by 5 siblings. Funeral home visitation will take place on Sunday, April 21, 2013 from 1-2pm, followed by funeral services at 2pm at the Bedford Funeral Home, 167 Great Road, Bedford, MA.
