Ronald C. Arsenault, 65, husband of Nancy (Jones Larsen) Arsenault, of Nashua, NH, formerly of Gloucester, passed away on Friday, December 20, 2013 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH. Born in Gloucester on October 31, 1948, he was the son of the late James and Philomena (Iovanne) Arsenault. A graduate of Gloucester High School and Salem State College, he later earned his Masters in Taxation from Suffolk University. Ron built and owned TaxesPlus for over 25 years, a successful business in Tewksbury. Over the past several years, he simultaneously worked for H&R Block to QC software and prepare tax returns with Cain, Bourret, Jarry, & Associates LLC in Dracut. Always eager to share his knowledge, he was a former professor at Rivier University and Southern New Hampshire University, both in Nashua, NH. Throughout his life Ron was an avid New England sports enthusiast | particularly football, baseball and golf. In addition to Nancy, his wife, he is survived by his sons Joseph Arsenault and husband Jephthah Lawson of Gloucester, James Arsenault of Tokyo, Ronald Arsenault Jr. of Beverly; stepdaughters Jacquelyn (Larsen) Quinton and her children Justin and Cassidy of Westford, Jannine (Larsen) Pomerleau, husband Matthew and their children Meredith and Matthew of Goffstown, NH; and Stephanie (Doane) Burgess of Gloucester. A Memorial Mass was celebrated in St. Anns Church on Friday, December 27, 2013 at 11:00am. Family and friends were cordially invited to attend. Visiting hours were held Thursday, December 26, 2013 from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Greely Funeral Home, 212 Washington Street, Gloucester, MA.
