Charles B. Dunn Obituary
Charles Bernard Dunn of Largo, FL, formerly of Framingham, MA and Franklin, MA, passed away December 18, 2016, from complications of dementia at Suncoast Hospice Care Center, Pinellas Park, FL. Beloved husband of 58 years to Joan E. (Davis) Dunn. Devoted father of James H. Dunn and his wife Patti of Canton, GA, C. Michael Dunn and his wife Cheryl of Westford, MA, Brian E. Dunn and his wife Christine of Johns Creek, GA, and Kathleen J. (Dunn) Crawford and her husband Jack of Cumming, GA. Cherished grandfather of Charles Dunn of Canton, GA, Ryan and Olivia Dunn of Westford, MA, Katherine, Kelsey and Jack Dunn of Johns Creek, GA and Duncan Crawford of Cumming, GA. Preceded in death by his parents, Harold J. Dunn and Louise M. (Harty) Dunn of Framingham, MA. Loyal brother of Therese Galvin, Irene Leland, John Dunn and Richard Dunn and brother-in-law of William E. Davis. Caring uncle to many nieces and nephews. Raised in Framingham, he was stationed in Japan during the Korean War, serving in the Army Security Agency before returning to Framingham upon the death of his father. He and his wife Joan settled in Franklin, where they raised their family and resided for thirty-five years. In his younger years he enjoyed playing hockey and softball, shooting and bowling. He was employed throughout his life as an electrical designer, last working for Parsons Main, Inc., in Boston, MA before retiring to Florida for the last twenty years. One of his favorite memories was a trip to Ireland, taken upon his retirement, with Joan and other members of his family, during which he was named King of the Bunratty Castle. He will be greatly missed by all those who had the privilege and pleasure to have known him and loved him. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated January 6, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. in St. Michael the Archangel Church, 490 Arnold Mill Road, Woodstock, GA 30188. Interment will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the Georgia National Cemetery, Veterans Cemetery Road, Canton, GA 30114. A Memorial Service will be held January 28, 2017, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at The National Cremation Society, 4945 East Bay Drive, Clearwater, FL 33764.
