Charles R. Faulkner Obituary
Charles R. Faulkner, 71, of Mashpee and formerly of Franklin died Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2010 after a long illness. He was the beloved husband of Jocelyn (Pratt) Faulkner to whom he was married to for 51 years. Mr. Faulkner was born on August 24, 1938 in Clarksville, Texas. Charles was a veteran of the US Navy. Before retiring, he was employed as parts manager at Babcock Equipment in Needham for many years. He also was parts manager for CN Wood in Malden and ESI in Hopkinton. After moving to Cape Cod in 1999 he worked at Cape Cod Aggregate. He was a current board member of the Bay Ridge Association in Mashpee and member of BPOE #2136 Elks Lodge in Franklin. He was also an avid handyman and gardener who always had the best lawn on the street. He enjoyed rooting for the Dallas Cowboys and eating pinto beans and cornbread. Besides his wife, he is survived by his son, Kevin Faulkner of Laguna Niguel, Calif. and his fianc Carol Fusco, a daughter Sondra Fabiano and her husband Michael of Wrentham, three sisters, Ovella Huddleston of Clarksville, Texas, Ruby Nell Phillips of Mena Arkansas and her husband Phil and Marie Strickler and her husband Jerry of Carolina Shores, N.C., four brothers, Frank Faulkner and wife Loraine, Thomas Faulkner, Troy Buddy Faulkner and his wife Jane and Sammy Faulkner and his wife Neva of Clarksville, Texas, two granddaughters, Daria and Maria Fabiano of Wrentham and many nieces and nephews.He was predeceased by his brothers Douglas and James Ray Sr. Visiting hours were on Sunday Aug. 22, 2010 from 2-4 p.m. at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 74 Algonquin Ave., Mashpee, followed by a celebration of life service at 4 p.m. The graveside service was Monday Aug. 23 at 9:15 in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
