Christopher M. "Chris" Pepe 38, of Franklin, died suddenly, Sunday September 28, 2014 at the Milford Regional Medical Center. He was the best friend and companion of Amanda Ranieri. Born January 30, 1976 in Ft. Hood, Texas a son of Patricia E. (Doody) Pepe of Tennessee and Michael Pepe and his wife Theresa (McKee) Pepe of Virginia, he was a longtime Franklin resident. He was raised and educated in Franklin, where he was a graduate of Franklin High School Class of 1994 and was awarded a scholarship to Dean College in Franklin, where he played football; he then attended UMASS Amherst, where he received a degree in mathematics and sports management in 1998. He was currently working as a carpenter for the Marguerite Concrete Company. Chris was a member of the Carpenters Local 535, Randolph, and was an active participant in the Bellingham Men's over 30 Softball League and enjoyed playing golf and basketball. He also treasured time spent with family and friends. In addition to his parents & companion, he is the nephew of Thomas S. Doody of Raleigh, NC, Diane Granger of Ashland, Sharon Doody of Framingham, Camille Fadia, Lorena Pepe, Gloria Johnson, Victoria Johnson all of Greensboro, NC, and Catherine Pietrafitta of Hanson. Chris is the grandson of the late Thomas & Ruth Doody and Michael & Trudie Pepe. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Monday Oct. 6th at 9:15AM from the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. Franklin, with a funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church 1 Church Sq. Franklin at 10AM. His interment will be held privately.
