Claudia Marie Vadnais Claudia Marie Vadnais Claudia Marie Vadnais, 94, of Jefferson Road, Franklin, a former Attleboro native and longtime resident, a loving mother, grandmother and sister, passed peacefully on Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at the Milford-Whitinsville Regional Hospital in Milford. She was the wife of the late Frederick E. Vadnais. Born Claudia Marie Allard in the Dodgeville Section of Attleboro on May 23, 1916, Claudia was the daughter of the late Joseph and Alice (Dusoblond) Allard. She was raised in Attleboro and was a graduate of North Attleboro High School. Claudia was employed at the family owned and former Sun Laundry located on Maple Street in Attleboro. Operated by her family for two generations, Claudia worked there for over 40 years until the business was sold in 1985 and she retired and settled in Franklin. A devoted and loving housewife, Claudia enjoyed knitting, crocheting, cooking, sewing and was a gifted tailor. The greatest joy in her life was being a grandmother to her two beloved grandsons: Gregory and Andrew. Claudia is survived by her beloved children: Donna Marie Adams and her husband Alan of Franklin, Mass. and Frederick Skip E. Vadnais of Rehoboth; her two cherished grandchildren: Andrew Jason Adams of Jamaica Plain, Mass. and Gregory Jason Adams and his wife Michelle of No. Attleboro; a sister: Leah Plante of Plainville and many nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by several brothers and sisters. At Claudias request, all funeral services entrusted to the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home in Attleboro are private.
