Dominick P. Cavalieri 88, a town resident since 1971, died peacefully, Saturday November 30, 2013 at the Golden Living Center in Dedham. He was the husband of the late Dorothy "Dot" (Keough) Cavalieri, who died in 2003. Born in Boston, November 28, 1925, a son of the late George L. and Maria (Milano) Cavalieri, he was raised and educated in Boston, and was a retired self employed sheet metal worker. He served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II. He attained the rank of Private First Class and served in Pacific theater from 1944-1946. He was awarded the Asiatic-Pacific Theater Campaign Ribbon and the Good Conduct Medal. He was honorably discharged in May 1946. He is survived by 2 daughters; Catherine DeChellis of Falmouth and Anne M. Cavalieri of Norwood, 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He is also the brother of the late Joseph & Anthony Cavalieri. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Tuesday evening Dec. 3rd, at 7:00PM in the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. Franklin. A private committal service with military honors will take place at the family lot in St. Michael Cemetery, Roslindale.
