Dorothy C. (Blanchard) Velluti 84, of Franklin, died peacefully, surrounded by family at her home, Tuesday April 7, 2015 following a long illness. She was the wife of the late Anthony F. Velluti, who died in 2006. Born in Franklin, on May 27, 1930 a daughter of the late James N. and Bertha R. (Cote) Blanchard, she was a lifelong Franklin resident. She was raised and educated in Franklin, and was the class treasurer for the Franklin High School Class of 1947. Dorothy was also a graduate of Boston University, where she received a degree in Business. She worked for many years at Whiting & Davis in Plainville, and was a homemaker. Dorothy was devoted to her family, and friends, she loved spending time at her home entertaining, and trips to Foxwoods. Her greatest joy was babysitting her great grandchildren, having coffee with family and friends and the monthly meeting held at her home with the class of 1947. She is survived by her children; Anthony J. Velluti and his wife Lynne of Hyannis, Debra A. Eastwood and her husband Raymond of Franklin and Sandra J. Empie and her husband Scott of North Attleboro. Also surviving are her grandchildren; Keith Eastwood, Nicole Eastwood-Duvally, Anthony Velluti, Kristin Paton, Nicholas Velluti, Samantha Landry, Jessica Statkiewicz and Hunter Snow, 5 great grandchildren and many nieces & nephews. She was the mother of the late Robert F. Velluti and sister of the late James N. Blanchard, Jr. and Elizabeth Betty McNally. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Saturday April 11th at 9:15AM from the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home, 33 Cottage St. with a funeral Mass in St. Marys Church 1 Church Sq. Franklin at 10AM. Interment will follow at the parish cemetery. Calling hours are Friday from 4-8PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be sent to Dana Farber Cancer Institute 20 Prospect St. Milford, MA 01757.
