Elizabeth C. (Glancy) Brunelli, 91, a former longtime resident of Franklin, died Thursday, March 3, 2011, at Carney Hospital in Dorchester. She was the wife of Bruno Co. Brunelli, who died in 1991. Born in Norwood, June 28, 1919, a daughter of the late George W. and Mary I. (Noonan) Glancy, she was raised and educated in Norwood, and lived in Franklin for most of her life, until moving to Dorchester in 1992. Before retirement, Mrs. Brunelli worked at MIT and at the former Woonsocket Hospital as an executive secretary. She was a volunteer at the J.F. Kennedy Library in Boston, and the Massachusetts Archives. She was also a member of the board of directors of Boston Bel Canto Opera. She is survived by three sons, John P. Brunelli of Norwood, William J. and Robert E. Brunelli, of Oldsmar, Fla; a sister, Mary Glancy-Tomasionis of Norwood; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She also leaves her dear friend, Sr. Joyce McMullen SND of Dorchester. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral with visitation beginning Tuesday, March 8, at 8:45 a.m., at the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home, 33 Cottage St., Franklin, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m., at St. Mary's Church in Franklin. Interment is private. Donations in her memory sent to Project Care & Concern at Pilgrim Church, 540 Columbia Road, Dorchester, MA 02125, would be appreciated.
