Elizabeth Roberts FRANKLIN Elizabeth (Simarrian) Roberts, 88, a Franklin resident for more than 60 years, died Thursday, Dec. 10, 2009, at Milford Care & Rehabilitation Center. Born in Boston, Nov. 26, 1921, a daughter of the late John and Aznive (Calusdian) Simarrian, she was raised and educated in Millis, and was a 1939 graduate of Millis High School. Until her retirement some years ago, she worked in the sales department for Marshall's Dept. Store for more than 25 years. Prior to that, she worked as a stitcher for the former Herman Shoe Co. She enjoyed music and singing, was an avid reader, and loved gardening. She was a member of the Franklin Senior Citizens, where she was an active participant. She is survived by her son, Craig Roberts of Franklin, with whom she lived; five sisters, Virginia Walsh of Franklin, Mary Simarrian of Millis, Beatrice Savignano of Needham, Alice Monahan of Norwood, Dolores Gervasi of Franklin; and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of Helena Cunningham, formerly of Franklin, who died in January. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Monday, Dec. 14, at 11 a.m., at the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home (www.franklinfuneral.com), 33 Cottage St., Franklin. Interment will follow in Union Street Cemetery, Franklin. Friends may call at the funeral home Monday, from 10 to 11 a.m., prior to the service.
