Florence E (Mussi) Freeman 96, was called home to be with the Lord Saturday May 20 2017 at Franklin Health and Rehabilitation Center She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Freeman Jr who died in 2000 Born June 20 1920 the daughter of the late John and Adele (Botti) Mussi, she was educated in Walpole, and was a graduate of Walpole High School, class of 1938 She was a longtime member of the American Federation of State, County and Munipal Employees Association. In her earlier years she enjoyed crocheting, cooking and holding her fur babies. Florence retired after 40 years as a vocational instructor at the Wrentham State School. She considered the residents as part of her family. We have fond memories of them calling the house and asking for their "Mother" The light of her life were her children and grandchildren, Deborah Macdonald and her husband Joe of Hopedale and Doreen Nasuti and her husband Steve of Franklin and her 6 grandchildren, Joey Brittany, her husband Brad Kessel , Jesse and Michael Macdonald and Timmy and Katie Pickering and her great grandchild Gemma Kessel. The 5 Vozzella girls whom she loved like her daughters: Florence always spoke of her extended family Her sister in law Marie Mussi who always brightened every holiday for her with a card, her late husband Alfred Mussi, her late brothers and sister in laws Bruno Bertone his wife Adelaide, Aldo Bertone and wife Mary, Joseph Mussi and his wife Clara, and Mary Vozzella her husband Guy, as well as all her many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her celebration of life service Friday May 26th At 12:00 noon in the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage Street.
