Frank J. Patracuollo 89, of Franklin, died peacefully, with family at his side, Friday April 15, 2016 at Milford Regional Medical Center, following a long illness. He was the beloved husband of Josephine R. (Catalano) Patracuollo, for 67 years. Born September 6, 1926 in Brooklyn, New York, a son of the late Charles P. and Emily (Goetz) Patracuollo, he was a Franklin resident for over 50 years. He was raised and educated in Brooklyn, and worked as a manager for RCA Television. He retired following a 45 year career. A proud American, he served his country during World War II as a member of the United States Army. Frank attained the rank of T-5 and participated in the battle of Southern Philippines Mindanao. Following the bombings in Hiroshima and Nagasaki he was sent to Japan as part of the Occupation Force. He was awarded the Army of Occupation Medal, the Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, the Philippine Liberation Ribbon and the World War II Victory Medal, he was honorably discharged in November 1946. Frank enjoyed fishing, hunting, classical music, raising bird dogs, traveling and most of all was devoted to his wife and family. He ran the game preserve program for 25 years at the Fin, Fur and Feather Club in Millis, along with cooking annual pasta dinners, game dinners and Saturday morning breakfasts. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children; Patricia J. Patracuollo of West Yarmouth, Charles S. Patracuollo and his fianc Linda Talbott of Stoughton, Jean M. Forte of San Dimas, California, Judy A. DiRosario and her fianc Randy Tucker of Franklin, Frank J. Patracuollo and his wife Karen of Mansfield and Joseph J. Patracuollo and his wife Laura of Lewis Center, Ohio, a brother George C. Patracuola of Santa Cruz, California. Also surviving are his grandchildren; Laurie Niro, Billy Ruane, Jen Riggs, Corinne Perchard, Joe & Tommy Forte, Christina Williams, Jennifer & Matthew DiRosario, Nicholas Patracuollo, Ashley & Chris Hall, and his great grandchildren; Gianna Niro, Braeden Riggs, Jacson & Kynslie Perchard, little Billy Ruane, as well as many cousins & friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Friday April 29th, at 9:15AM from the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Marys Church 1 Church Sq. Franklin at 10AM. Interment with Military Honors will follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. Calling hours are Thurs. April 28th, from 4-8PM at the funeral home.
