Frank J. Varrichione II, 57, passed away Monday, Nov. 5, 2012, from a heart aneurysm at his home in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., where he had lived for the past two years. He is survived by his sons, Ron, of Holland, Anthony and Michael of Medway, and their mother, Maria, his wife of 20 years; his parents, Frank and Millicent Varrichione; his sisters, Vicki Garland and her husband, Doug, of New Hampshire, Terri Henry of Ashland and her husband, Ed and Lauri Baker of New Hampshire; his niece, Hannah; and nephews Sam, Mark and Matt. Frank was born in Southbend, Ind., on Sept. 18, 1955. His younger years were spent in Los Angeles, Pittsburgh, then Natick, before moving to Medway in 1995. He had been living in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., since 2010. Frank was a communicant at St. Joseph's Church in Medway where he volunteered and taught CCD. He was one of the original Medway PopWarner coaches and loved coaching the kids, where he formed many great friendships. Frank served as a Medway School Committee member, as well as on the Medway Building and Site Committee for building of the Medway High School. He was a member of the Medway Republican committee, and had served as a state delegate. Frank was a ferocious reader, he also enjoyed music, football, politics, golfing, and skiing. The Monday night Tri-town men's group in Milford was very special to him. He loved sunsets and the ocean. He was a devoted and loving son, husband and father. A private family memorial service will be held in Massachusetts.
