H. Murray Malcolm 84 of Blackstone and a former longtime resident of Franklin, died peacefully at his home on Wednesday April 6, 2011. He was the husband of the late Dorothy B. (Burns) Malcolm who died in July 2010. Born in Newton. Sept. 15, 1926 a son of the late Henry M. and Gladys E. (Maccomisky) Malcolm. he was raised and educated in Newton, and until retiring, worked for more than 36 years as a service technician for the Waltham Chemical Co. He was a life member and Past Exalted Ruler of the Franklin Lodge of Elks # 2136 and enjoyed golf and Cape Cod. He is survived by a son Robert M. Malcolm of Woonsocket, a daughter Donna t. Stevens and her husband Buddy of Blackstone, two brothers: David Malcolm of Sandwich, Neil Malcolm of Dennis, two sisters: Joyce Plmondon of Nil. Julie Avery of Dennis; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was also the brother of the late Richard & William Malcolm, and Diane Panzera. Relatives and friends were invited to attend his funeral Saturday at 10 a.m., in the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 cottage St., www.oterifuneral.com. Interment followed in the family lot in Newton Cemetery. Calling hours were Friday 4-8 p.m. The Franklin Lodge of Elks conducted a Lodge of Sorrows service at the funeral home on Friday at 5 p.m. Donations in his memory sent to MetroWest Homecare & Hospice 85 Lincoln St. Framingham, MA 01702 would be appreciated.
