Halsey A. Staples, 87, of Bellingham, MA passed away peacefully on Friday, June 27, 2015 at Milford Regional Medical Center with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of the late Rosamond O. (Burr) Staples. Born on July 14, 1926, he was the son of the late Halsey T. and Helen (Rhodes) Staples. He was the loving father of David A. Staples of Bellingham, Steven G. Staples and his wife, Ann of Blackstone, Richard A. Staples and his wife, Karen of Bellingham, Donald P. Staples and Jeanette of Franklin, Rosemary A. Daley and Albert of Holliston, Marilyn J. Mahoney of Bellingham; and his cherished 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. He was the brother of the late George, Howard and Eugene Staples. Mr. Staples was a lifelong resident of Bellingham and was a dedicated Volunteer Fireman for many years for the Town of Bellingham. He worked as a truck driver for many years for Bellingham Lumber until retiring. Mr. Staples was a United States Army World War II Veteran. Devoted to his family, he will be greatly missed. Funeral Service was held on Tuesday, July 1, at 10 a.m. at Cartier's Funeral Home, 151 So. Main St. (Rte 126), Bellingham. Interment followed at the Scott Cemetery, Center St., Bellingham.
