Harry Gunner Paksarian 82, of Franklin, died peacefully, Thursday March 5, 2015 at the Franklin Health and Rehabilitation Center following a brief illness. He was the beloved husband of the late Lois B. (Ames) Atamian, who died in 2003. Born in Franklin, May 20, 1932 a son of the late Kirkor and Deramar (Hovsepian) Paksarian, he was raised and educated in Franklin, was a graduate of Franklin High School class of 1950 and a graduate of Northeastern University with a degree in engineering. Gunner was the former owner and operator of Hometown Paint and Decorating located in Franklin, on East Central Street. He was an avid sports fan & followed the Celtics, Red Sox, and the New England Patriots. He also enjoyed playing golf. He is survived by his step-children, Beth A. Herbst of Franklin, Bill Atamian of Wrentham, & Dr. Susan D. Atamian-Hart of Minnesota, step grandchildren, Benjamin & Timothy Herbst, David Hart, Sarah Atamian and a step great granddaughter Molly Herbst. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Monday Mar. 9th, at 9:30am from the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. followed by a funeral service in St. Johns Episcopal Church 237 Pleasant St. Franklin at 10:30AM. Interment will follow at Union Street Cemetery, Franklin. Calling hours are Sunday from 2-4PM.
