Henry R. Ficco 78, of Franklin, died peacefully, Saturday, April 5, 2014 at Milford Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Carol A. (Morse) Ficco, who died in 2011. Born in Franklin March 31, 1936 a son of the late Henry F. and Helen J. (Walker) Ficco, he was a lifelong Franklin resident. He was educated in Franklin, and served in the United States Army. He was a steel worker for the former Draper Corporation in Hopedale, and also worked for General Motors until his retirement. Henry was a proud New York Yankees fan, and enjoyed candlepin bowling, traveling, and spending time with his family. He is survived by 2 sons; H. Richard Ficco, Jr. of South Easton, Kevin M. Ficco of Franklin, a daughter Sharon L. Harmon of Franklin, 4 brothers; James F. Ficco of Hudson, Gary S. Ficco of Franklin, Stephen M. Ficco of Wrentham, William J. Ficco of Sarasota, Florida, 2 sisters; Janice Busby of Hudson and Beverly Moreau of Falmouth. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends were invited to attend his funeral Wednesday April. 9th at 9:15 AM from the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home, 33 Cottage St., Franklin, with a funeral Mass in St. Marys Church, Franklin at 10 AM. Interment at St. Marys Cemetery will be held privately.
