Obituary Condolences

Janet M. (Hilton) McCarron, 73, of Franklin, died peacefully Saturday, May 19, 2012, at home, surrounded by her family, following an illness. She was the beloved wife of William McCarron. Born in Boston, Jan. 14, 1939, a daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Walsh) Hilton, she had been a resident of Franklin for more than 46 years, and was a former resident of Roslindale. She was raised and educated in Boston, where she was a graduate of South Boston High School and until her retirement, she worked as a data entry clerk in the pharmaceutical industry. Janet treasured time spent with her family, being on Cape Cod, Marthas Vineyard, and going to the beach. She was also a communicant of St. Brendans Church in Bellingham. In addition to her husband of 50 years, she is survived by her sons, Thomas W. McCarron and his wife, Renee, of Doylestown, Pa., Timothy J. McCarron and William M. McCarron, both of Franklin; a brother, Joseph Hilton of Norwood; and her twin sister, Joyce Smith of Norwood, with whom she shared a very special bond. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Tara, Jack and Luke McCarron; and her nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Wednesday May 23, at 9 a.m., at the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home, 33 Cottage St., Franklin, with a funeral Mass at 10 a.m., at St. Brendans Church, 384 Hartford Ave., Bellingham, MA 02019. Interment will be held privately. Calling hours are Tuesday, May 22, from 5 to 9 p.m., at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be sent to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, 10 Brookline Place West, 6th Floor, Brookline, MA 02445.
