Joanne V. Eisner Obituary
Joanne V. "Josie" (Locklin) Eisner 74, of Blackstone, died peacefully, at her home Tuesday October 4, 2016 with her family at her side, following an illness. Born in Franklin, August 19, 1942 a daughter of the late Onsville and Annie C. (Rabbette) Locklin, she was a former longtime Franklin and Medway resident, until moving to Blackstone in 2014. She was raised and educated in Franklin and was a 1961 graduate of Franklin High School. Joanne moved to Medway in 1966 and later worked in the cafeteria at the Medway High School and the McGovern Elementary School. She also worked for many years at Gulf Oil Company in Westboro and Canton. Joanne was a devoted mother and grandmother. She treasured her time spent with family and friends. She also enjoyed traveling, dancing, and volunteering. An avid volunteer, she was a 25-year member of the Bellingham Women of Today, where she held several positions, including several years as President. She is survived by her children, Robert J. Eisner and his wife Judy of Blackstone, Cindy M. Beaulieu and her husband Robert of Jacksonville, Florida and James E. Eisner of Hopedale, a sister, Sandra Haltom of Franklin, and her cherished grandchildren, Alyssa, Tyler, Eric, Samantha, Sabrina and Isabella. She also leaves several nieces and nephews who she adored. She was the sister of the late James, Warren, Kenneth Locklin and Barbara Dunlap. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Sat. Oct. 8th, at 9:15AM from the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Marys Church, 1 Church Sq. Franklin at 10AM. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Oakland St. Medway. Calling hours are Fri. from 5-8PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Bellingham Women of Today P.O. Box 405 Bellingham, MA 02019.
