Obituary Condolences

Joseph N. DeBaggis, 88, a lifelong Franklin resident, died Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2011, at the Maples Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, following an illness. Born in Franklin, Dec. 24, 1922, one of eight children born to Diego and Josephine (Colobuono) DeBaggis, he was raised and educated in Franklin. Joseph was a special man with special talents. He loved animals especially horses, and enjoyed gardening and yard work. He was very proud of his Italian heritage, and all its culinary delights. He will be greatly missed by all of his family. He is survived by three sisters, Sylvia Stein of Margate, N.J., Lucy A. Sheehan and Mary A. DeBaggis, of Franklin; and a niece and nephew, Carol and Bill Sheehan. He was the brother of the late Christine Hume, Elmiro, Anthony, and Ernest De- Baggis. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral, Monday, Oct. 31, at 9:15 a.m., at the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home, 33 Cottage St., Franklin, with a funeral Mass at St. Marys Church, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in the family lot in St. Marys Cemetery. Friends may call Monday, Oct. 31, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m., at the funeral home. Donations in his memory sent to St. Marys Church, 1 Church Sq., Franklin, MA 02038, would be appreciated.
