Julia F. (Sokulska) Lojewski 95, of Franklin, died peacefully, Thursday January 22, 2015 with family by her side at Genesis Milford Center, following an illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Chester B. Lojewski, who died in 1992. Born December 2, 1919 in Astoria, New York a daughter of the late Peter and Helen (Mazurska) Sokulski, she was a former longtime resident of Bay Shore, New York before moving to Franklin in 2004. She was raised and educated in Astoria, was a former homemaker and worked for Citibank N.A. Julia was devoted to her family and friends; she enjoyed knitting, cooking, animals and gardening. Julia was a member of St. Mary's Church, Franklin and attended the Franklin Senior Center. She is survived by her children; Barbara H. Stone and her companion Frank of Baldwinsville, New York, Chester L. "Chet" Bogdan and his wife Laura of Jericho, New York, and Joan L. Ivers and her husband Raymond of Franklin. Also surviving are her cherished grandchildren, Michelle & Corey Bogdan, Lauren, Raymond and Allison Ivers. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her calling hours Sunday Jan. 25th from 1-4PM in the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. Franklin. Her funeral will be held Monday Jan. 26th, at 12PM in Holy Cross Parish 61-21 56th Rd. Maspeth, New York 11378. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery 65-40 Grand Ave. Maspeth, New York.
