Leona Lee Redonnet-Egan age 86 passed peacefully on April 11th at her residence, Forge Hill Senior Living in Franklin, after a long illness. Lee was born, raised and educated in Jamaica Plain. She was the daughter of the late William and Edna (Wood) Harroun. Lee was married to her first husband, Elmer Al Redonnet for 45 years until his death due to Parkinsons and Alzheimers disease in 1996. They welcomed their son, David, in 1955. After moving to Pepperell, Lee worked for the Chief of Professional Services at Cutler Army Hospital, Ft. Devens. Lee and Al also had a wedding photography business for many years. Lee married again in 1997 to Lt. Col Paul Egan; they resided in Franklin until his death in 2009. They enjoyed their retirement years, many of which were filled with travel adventures. Lee was an active member of Medway Community Church. She was a generous and gracious woman and will be remembered as one who throughout her life provided unconditional love, care and support to those in need. Lee is survived by her son David Redonnet and his wife Lynne (Verdy) of Medway and a step-daughter Jean Egan, and her husband Robert Okun of Connecticut. One of five girls, she is also survived by three sisters, Elaine Dillon of Virginia, Constance Brink of Maine and Dorothy Woodman of Bellingham as well as many nieces and nephews. Lee was predeceased by her sister Myrtle Harroun. Lees family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to all the staff and RCAs at Forge Hill Senior Living and all those at Seasons Hospice who showed compassion and provided care to Lee throughout her time with them. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Lees funeral service at the Medway Community Church, 196 Main St, Medway on Friday April, 15th at 11 a.m. Interment will take place at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, April 14th from 4 - 8 p.m. in the Ginley-Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber St., Medway. www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com.
