Lola (Assetta) D'Errico 94 formerly of Franklin died August 31 in the Milford Care and Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of the late Donato "Dan" D'Errico. Born in Everett, February 3, 1917, the daughter rof the late Tito and Virginia (DiGiandomenico) Assettta, Mrs. D'Errico, had lived in Franklin for over 67 years before moving to Milford in 2005. A homemaker, Lola was very active at St. Mary's Church. She had been a daily mass communicant. A member of the Ladies Altar Society, the catholic women's club and had been among the first female Eucharistic ministers. Her family was so very important to her. She had been a surrogate mother to several nieces and nephews. She loved to knit and to cook and to argue over pie crusts. She was the sister of the late Rudolph, John, Alfred, Romeo "Ray" Assetta and Ethel Oliva and Dora Candela. She is survived by many nieces and nephews including her devoted caregiver Drina Menard of Franklin. Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday September 3 at 11:00 in St. Mary's Church. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday from 9:00-10:30 in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 131 Main St. Franklin In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to the St. Vincent DePaul Society c/o St. Mary's Church, Church Square, Franklin Ma 02038.
