Louis P. Gene Pascucci, 92, of Franklin, died peacefully Tuesday March 11, 2014 at Milford Regional Medical Center. He was the beloved husband of Vilma G. (Nasuti) Pascucci. Born in Atessa, Italy October 26, 1921, he came to the United States with his family when he was 23 months old. The family settled in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where he was raised and educated, and where he lived until moving to Franklin in 1975. Mr. Pascucci worked for the Philadelphia Fire Department for more than 26 years. He retired as aide to the chief, and also played in the departments band. He played the trumpet in his earlier years and played for several local bands. When he came to Franklin, he worked in the carpentry shop at Wrentham State School for more than 20 years, before finally retiring. He served in the United States Army during World War II, and was honorably discharged, after 18 months of service. He was a former member of the Franklin Lodge Sons of Italy. Surviving in addition to his wife are 2 nephews, and many extended members of the Nasuti family. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Saturday March 15th, at 9:15am from the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home, 33 Cottage St., Franklin, with a funeral Mass in St. Marys Church, Franklin at 10AM. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. Calling hours are Friday from 4-7PM. Donations in his memory may be sent to Friends of Franklin, 50 Corbin St., Franklin, MA 02038.
