Lucretia (Ferranti) Erdi 78, of Woonsocket, RI, died peacefully, with family at her side, Wednesday February 10, 2016, at Oakland Grove Health Care Center, following a long illness. She was the wife of Theodore J. Erdi and the late Raymond A. Cormier, Jr. Born March 7, 1937 in New York City, a daughter of the late Lucy (Potosa) Ferranti she was a former resident of Franklin, Wareham, and Plainville, before moving to Woonsocket. She was raised and educated in Worcester, and was a graduate of Commerce High School. Lucretia was a retired cook; having worked for the former Benjamin Franklin Nursing Home, the Craigville Conference Center and for many years cooking for the Good Fathers at St. Marys Rectory in Franklin. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, she was the center of the family. She enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren, camping, bible studies and retreats at Mt. St. Marys Abbey. Lucretia was a member of St. Marys Church, Franklin and a member of the Catholic Womens Club. In addition to her husband of 32 years, she is survived by her children; Denise A. Damron of Daytona Beach, FL, Mark R. Cormier and his wife Diane of Dunnellon, FL, Sue Socci and her spouse Patti Socci of Blackstone, Mary A. Diehl and her husband Kevin of Blackstone, LuAnn Cormier of Shrewsbury, Lisa A. Woods and her husband Dan of Webster, Sue Person and her husband Warren of Westford, Joanne Monteiro of Clinton, siblings, Angie Wilkes of Sunapee, NH, Nancy Martin of Ocala, FL, Morris Ferranti of TN, Alexander Ferranti of MD, & Michael Ferranti of Worcester. Also surviving are her beloved 23 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service Sunday Feb. 14th, at 4PM in the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. Interment at Union Street Cemetery will be held privately. Calling hours are Sunday from 2-4PM.
