Beloved wife of Francis Yanuskiewicz for 38 years. Devoted mother of Kristen, Lauren, and Carolyn Yanuskiewicz of Boston and Brian Yanuskiewicz of Franklin. Born on December 29, 1953 in Boston, she was the daughter of the late John J. and Margaret (Healey) Cronin. Peggy grew up in Dedham and was a 1971 graduate of Dedham High School and a 1975 graduate of Regis College in Weston. Upon graduating, she began her teaching career in Dedham where she taught at several schools and multiple grade levels. After taking several years off to raise her four children, she returned to her passion of teaching at the John F. Kennedy Elementary School in Franklin for 15 years. During this time, she was a founding member of the Franklin Education Foundation and continued her education, receiving her Masters Degree in Education in Organizational Management from Endicott College in Beverly. Subsequently, she became the Principal at McGovern Elementary School in Medway, where she worked for the past 5 years. In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking (especially big family dinners every Sunday), baking, reading, going to the beach, visiting Cape Cod, and spending time with her family, including her furry grandson, and friends. In addition to her husband and four children, she is survived by her brother John Cronin of Maryland, Richard Cronin of Virginia, and Rene McLaughlin of Franklin. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, September 20, from 4 - 8 p.m. at the Ginley Funeral Home, 131 Main Street, Franklin. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Mass on Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, 1 Church Square, Franklin. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
