Margaret Louise (Pelley) Hunchard Cunningham, 91 of Franklin died May 3 in the Maples Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center in Wrentham. She was the wife of the late Douglas Cunningham and the late Joseph Hunchard. Born in Twillingate, Newfoundland, Canada, March 23, 1932, the daughter of the late Pierce and Nellie (Earl) Pelley, Mrs. Cunningham was raised in Canada and had lived in Franklin for many years. She had worked in the area textile mills as a stitcher. Margaret enjoyed baking, gardening, camping, playing cards and visits with her grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Betty Guy and her husband Alonzo of Bonavista, Newfoundland, Robert Hunchard of Potter Valley, California, and Bruce Hunhchard and his wife Gwynne of Franklin. She is also survived by her 9 grandchildren, Robert, Denise, Christina, Elizabeth, William, Daniel, and Joseph, Christopher and Lynne and her 4 great-grandchildren Amy, Bobby Joe, Hannah and Ava. She is also survived by her brother Melvin Pelley and his wife Brynhild of Montreal, Canada and was the sister of the late Hayward Pelley, Augustus Gus Pelley, Ada White and Allegra Guy. Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, May 7 in St. Marys Church at 10:00. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 8:30-9:45 in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes. com) 131 Main Street, Franklin. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to the Maples Rehabilitation Activities Fund, 90 Taunton Street, Wrentham, MA 02093.
