Mary C. Bremilst Obituary
Mary C. (Saboites) Bremilst, 87, of Norfolk, died peacefully at her daughter Ruths home in Franklin with daughters Ruth and Rachel by her side holding her hands as she transitioned to be with God on Sunday, June 4, 2017. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert L. Bremilst Sr., who died in 1999. She was born April 21, 1930, in Walpole, daughter of the late John A. and Louise (Krauchunas) Saboites. Mary was a lifelong Norfolk resident and owner and operator of the Family Florist and Greenhouses on Route 115 for more than 60 years. Mary donated flowers to St. Judes Church in Norfolk each week for many years. Mary was raised and educated in Walpole, graduating in the class of 1948 before moving to Norfolk. Mary also attended Rittner`s School of Floral Design and The Norfolk County Agricultural School in Walpole. She taught adult education floral and craft design classes at various area high schools as well as at her own establishment in Norfolk. Mary enjoyed spending time with her family, trips to Maine, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, and Cape Cod. She was an avid member of both St. Judes Womens bowling league and the Norfolk Grange. Mary was also a leader in the 4-H Club. She loved Readers Digest books, WBZ AM 1030, Oldies 103.3 FM and especially Johnny Cash and Sha Na Na. She enjoyed frequenting yard sales and church fairs and watching Western TV shows and movies. She was an avid follower of All My Children and One Life to Live. After the death of her beloved husband in 1999, Mary spent her time with her devoted daughters, Ruth, Rachel and their children and grandchildren. Mary is survived by two daughters, Ruth E. Palumbo of Franklin, Rachel L. Bremilst of Norfolk and two sons, Richard J. Bremilst of Norfolk and Robert L. Bremilst Jr. of Virginia. Mary also is survived by her beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great- great-grandchildren, along with nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and nephews. Mary was the sister in law of Barbara Gay of Weymouth, Barbara Saboites of Wise, Virginia, and Naomi Bremilst of Norfolk. Mary was the mother of her predeceased son Rene J. Bremilst, sister of the late Charles, Andrew, and John Saboites and sister, Helen (Saboites) Gudeczauskas. Private services were held on Friday, June 9th from the Ross Funeral Home in Wrentham. Mary was laid to rest beside her beloved husband of 51 years in the Wrentham Cemetery. A private celebration of Marys life was held after her funeral at Alumnis in Franklin attended by her loving family and friends.
