Nancy R. Azza Obituary
Nancy R. (Pastorello) Azza died suddenly, on April 6th surrounded by loved ones. She was the beloved wife of William E. Al James and would of celebrated their 31st anniversary this coming June. A lifelong resident of Franklin, she was the loving daughter of the late Dr. Ernest Pastorello and Rose (Zampell) Pastorello. A graduate of Marian High School, Nancy received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Albright College (PA) and received her masters in social work from Boston College. She retired after 35 years from the Brockton Public Schools where she distinguished herself as a school therapist. Nancy also had a thriving private practice. In her spare time, Nancy was a bingo aficionado and loved to watch the Red Sox. She was an animal lover, especially her beloved French poodles. In her later years Nancy doted on her granddaughters. In addition to her husband she is survived by her cherished daughters, Andrea R. Azza of Northborough, Amy N, Azza and son in law Doug K. Snook of Bellingham, and 2 granddaughters, Emily and Savannah. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her calling hours Sunday April 10h, at the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. from 12-2PM. Family reflections will be offered at 2PM. Her interment at the Pastorello family mausoleum at St. Marys Cemetery, Franklin will be held privately.
