Natale Nat F. Mucci, 81, of Uxbridge, formerly of Medway and The Villages, Florida, died April 6 at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Rosemary (Mastrototaro) Mucci with whom he would have been married to for 58 years this May 4th. Born in Boston, December 25, 1934, the son of the late Giuseppe and Antoinetta (DiGiovanni) Mucci, Mr. Mucci was raised in Dorchester and had lived in Medway from 1966 until moving to The Villages in Florida in 2004, where he lived until moving to Uxbridge 10 days ago to live with his daughter and son |in- law. Mr. Mucci attended the Berkley School of Music in Boston and was a talented professional musician, Nat had played the jazz bass as a member of Musicians Local 9. A talented cook he had worked at several area restaurants and also for Fred Rossetti of Medway in his catering business. Nat also had worked for the Gamewell Corporation. Nat enjoyed music, golf, woodworking, cooking and the local sports teams. Nats greatest joy was being with his family. He was a former president of the Franklin Sons of Italy and was a member of the DAV and the American Legion. He had served in the Army during the Korean War attaining the rank of Private First Class. In addition to his wife he is survived by his children, Natalie MacDonald and her husband Bruce of Waltham, James Mucci of Milford and Jacqueline Ricca and her husband Alfred of Uxbridge. He is also survived by his siblings, Edie Steinmetz of Quincy, Angelo Mucci of Medway, Camille Mucci of Brockton, Salvy Mucci of Scituate , Thelma Ferro of The Villages, Florida, Joy King of Dedham, Maryanne Calnan of Brockton and Carol Ferro of San Jose , California. He was the brother of the late, Gino Mucci, Tony Mucci, Romanie Spacco and baby Jackie. Nat is also survived by his grandchildren, Timothy MacDonald, Andrea MacDonald, Kristina Mucci and Lisa Mucci, and his great-grandson Jaxson Scott. Nat also leaves many 4 legged friends who were also part of his family. His calling hours will be held on Sunday, April 10 in the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 3 Barber Street, Medway from 4-7 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Sunday at 7:00 p .m. at the conclusion of the calling hours. Burial will take place at a later date at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made in his memory to the Disabled Veterans of Massachusetts, State House, Room 546, Boston, MA 02133.
